Adapted from the original Broadway production and the Academy Award-winning motion picture, SOOP’s Highlights from Disney Beauty and the Beast. is a fantastic tale of transformation and tolerance, telling the classic story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self.  With music by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice, students will work on character development, voice and ensemble building.  Come join Belle, The Beast, Lumiere, Cogsworth and the whole gang in telling this “tale as old as time”!
